          Yung_Chu Betty Hung is an emerging artist, born in Taiwan and currently works and resides in Vancouver. 

 

          Time is considered as the fundamental base that builds up Betty's process. Semiotic, on the other hand, as the other concept that she often plays with, especially the symbols of dots and lines. She believes that a simple symbol can address deeper meanings which may be shifted by each individual. 

 

          In her practices, she aims to create the sense of readability for the viewers. Betty often tries to keep the minimal decision on both the form and the material, which provide a chance for the materials to communicate with spectators; simple dots and lines, color block and white, and the mediums between ceramic and wood.
